The 1.4 HDI continues Peugeot's long tradition for strong diesels.  It delivers a good spread of power across the rev range and can be good fun to drive.  The 1.4 is nippy enough for town driving and is capable on the motorway.

The 207 gives competent, assured handling and a comfortable drive.  It feels composed and safe at all times.  The power assisted steering is precise and artificially weights-up when you take corners at speed.  Body roll is well controlled and the ride is very good over most surfaces.

It has a light and airy cabin, with quality materials.  The seats are comfortable and offer enough support for longer journeys.  It has airconditioning, electronically operated, heated door mirrors and a host of extras as standard.

The attractive dash is clear and easy to use.  The driving position is excellent, with a highly adjustable drivers seat and a steering wheel that adjusts for height and reach.  Much attention has been given to the instrument dials, which are chrome ringed and designed in a similar way to that of a motorbike.

A large amount of glass means all-round visibility is excellent and gives a pleasant and airy feel.
