Who are we? - Meet The Team

Pete

Pete.  Co-owner of Finale,  Pete has a wealth of experience within the industry.  He operates mainly from recommendations received from previous pupils who have been so pleased with the service and the high standard of instruction they have passed our number onto their friends.  As well as teaching learner drivers, Pete also trains Instructors.

Pete's Customer Feedback - "After spending many hours on the internet, trying to find an instructor who would put my interests first and NOT rip me off, I found Finale School of Motoring.  After leaving my details on their contacts page they promptly called me back.

Having had a lesson from a different driving school, which I was unhappy with as they were obviously trying to get me to have as many lessons as possible by telling me I needed a lot more lessons than I did.  They had no interest in working with me and I felt used.

I read the claims that Finale made on their website and decided to book a lesson with them.  One of their Instructors, a chap called Pete met me at my home address and took me out for an hours assessment drive - a FULL 60 mins, not 50!  He assessed my driving and said that I would only need approx 10 lessons, but I decided to book 10 two hour lessons with him.  Since we started, I am shocked by the progress I have made and my ability to be confident with my driving.  Pete is not the type of person to rush you into doing things that will destroy your confidence but he will build your confidence until you are doing things in a relaxed and safe way without even realising it.

I feel that I have progressed at a steady pace but, importantly, at my own speed.  Even when I got things wrong, Pete had the patience to stop me, talk it through with me and then practice until it came right without putting me under pressure.  I passed my EXTENDED test (1 hr drive), 1st time and with only 4 minor faults!

I would recommend Pete and Finale School of Motoring to anyone who is learning to drive.  Just have one lesson and see what you think!  Oh...when you do ring up to book...ask for Pete!"  PHIL DAVIES

JaneJane.  Along with her Husband, Pete, Jane co-owns Finale.  Although Jane is a highly qualified Instructor, unfortunately, she is not accepting pupils at present but is in charge of admin and keeps everything running smoothly.  When you call, it will probably be Jane you speak too first.  Absolutely mad, with a zany sense of humour, she will endevour to make sure your driving lessons are fun - whichever Instructor you take them with.  Jane is also an Instructor trainer and runs our in-house Instructor training.

Jane's Customer Feedback - "As a very nervous driver I knew that the Instructor I was with was not helping me as he shouted at my mistakes.  I contacted Finale and spoke to Jane who immediately reassured me and took the time to talk to me.  After talking through my problems she placed me with the Instructor she thought would be most appropriate and I haven't looked back since.  It's just a shame that she's not teaching at the moment - I would have had my lessons with her!"  JULIE GORDON

Gaz

Gaz.  Having only recently joined Finale, Gaz is already settling in well.  A dedicated Instructor, well liked by his pupils, Gaz teaches in THREE languages - English, Urdu and Punjabi!  Based in the Edgbaston area, he is ideally situated to cover all area's of Birmingham and if English isn't your first language then he would be an ideal Instructor for you.  We will add feedback for Gaz as we get it - don't forget he hasn't been with us long!!!  Gaz is the only one of our Instructors who doesn't currently use a Peugeot 207.  He has a beautiful Golf!

Steve Steve.  As all of our team are, Steve is again a highly experienced Instructor, again operating mainly on recommendations from former pupils.  As you can tell from the above, we don't always have space for him to take new pupils on but you might be lucky!  He operates mainly in the Solihull/Shirley area but can cover Garretts Green.  We are currently waiting for Steve to send us some pupil feedback.

Steve's Customer Feedback.  "I wanted to send this as Steve helped me out so much.  Steve was an amazing Instructor.  When I started to learn I was so nervous but he built up my confidence and helped me to realise I could pass my test.

He made learning really interesting by using different teaching methods and he was encouraging and suportive whenever I needed it.  If he made a mistake he was never patronising and if I met a stumbling block he would find another way of explaining it to me.  He never gave up on me and thanks to Steve I passed first time..  Thank you Steve.  ps.  I am now taking my Pass Plus lessons with him."  MEGAN RILEY

 

Jo.  As Jane is currently not teaching, Jo is our only operating female Instructor.  As you can imagine she is very busy but does have limited vacancy's.  Jo's sense of humour rivals Jane's which speaks volumes!  Lessons are fun and zany!  Jo has not been with Finale for very long but is really popular and has already received recommendations from pupils!  She teaches mainly in the Kings Heath/Redditch area but can also cover the Shirley/Solihull areas.  As we have said she is busy at the moment so we are waiting for both a photo and some pupil feedback for her...maybe she's camera shy?
